How can we afford to travel non stop?

Discover

You are not in the mood for a nomadic travel and you are looking for an holiday destination? You have a family to take care of and you need to adapt and learn to be a tourist?  If so, have you ever dreamt of a trip to Antigua? Then, read more in this guest post written by Catherine.

When you think of Antigua you imagine long sandy beaches and luxury hotels, the perfect escape for couples. But it's actually a fantastic location for a fun filled family holiday too. Here's why:

Flights

Cheap flights to Antigua make this long haul destination more affordable than ever for families with children, leaving you more money to spend on fun excursions or on finding the perfect family hotel.

Hotels

With hotels offering action packed children's activity programmes and kids clubs - not to mention babysitting, playgrounds, games rooms and children's pools - there is plenty to keep the children occupied all day. All Inclusive hotels make that an all the more appealing option. The children can order as many soft drinks and snacks as they want throughout the day while you don't have to worry about any additional expense.

Beaches

Antigua has 365 beaches so you're bound to find one that suits your family. There are of course tranquil coves to visit, but the kids will love Pigeon Beach. Right in the heart of Falmouth near English Harbour, this great beach features shady areas and a kids’ play area, shallow water just perfect for swimming, a beach bar and music at the weekends. It's a real hit with locals and tourists alike.

Excursions

An incredibly popular excursion is Stingray City. Here you get to experience the friendly and gentle stingrays as you touch and feed them. Nicknamed the puppy dog of the sea, these playful rays will ensure you have an experience you will never forget.

Children with a love of horses will love nothing more than galloping along the beach and exploring the island on horseback. Maybe even enjoying a swim in the sea on the horses to cool off after a busy day’s riding.

There is of course much more for families to explore from the Donkey Sanctuary to the Hawksbill Turtle Preserve and the Wadadil Animal Nature Park. Antigua really is a destination that all the family can enjoy together.
