Fireworks in front of Castel Sant Angelo in Rome
Since some years on June 29th in Rome, there is a historical representation called "La girandola di Castel Sant'Angelo", held on the day of Saint Peter and Paul, protectors of the city.
There is a firework show right in front of Hadrian Mausoleum, memory of the pyrotechnic performances that were held in the same location since 1481, to celebrate special occasions.
Nowadays it's a popular event and it gets quite crowded, but along the bank of Tiberim river there is plenty of space even for tripods. Make sure to be there on time and to enjoy this amazing event in Rome!
