Interesting window in Lucca, Italy

Window in Lucca, ItalyWindow in Lucca, Italy

The city of Lucca in Italy, not far from Pisa, apart from being home to this interesting window, is a small jewel with historical churches, pedestrian walking, the amphitheater square and a unique medieval tower with trees on top. A perfect day trip from Pisa or Florence.

Signs of war in Sarajevo

Signs of a bomb in a building in SarajevoSigns of a bomb in a building in Sarajevo

Before arriving in Sarajevo, we were expecting a city still heavily damaged by the civil war and the siege. Instead we were surprised to see that mostly the city was able to overcome that horrible moment, and the memories of the war were rare and difficult to spot. Some signs of bullets or bombs, but not that frequent. Well done

Tivoli Park in Copenhagen at Christmas time

Tivoli park at Christmas TimeTivoli park at Christmas Time

During Christmas time, Tivoli Park, also known as Tivoli Gardens, is getting a new look with all the lights and decorations on, giving the real feeling of Christmas. We didn't enter inside, but even walking around there are nice views opening up through the fence. We also tried to climb one of the high rise buildings around the

Wild camping in a souvenir stand in PlitviceWild camping in a souvenir stand in Plitvice

If you are looking for a cheap accomodation in Plitvice Lakes National Park, nothing will be cheaper than an empty souvenir shop off season. Insulation from the ground, protection against the wind, and you'll have also a basic protection against bears and wolves roaming freely in the area! If it's not for you, there are still

Christmas Market in Prague seen from the tower in the Old Town Square

Even if we are not big fan of Christmas Market, in Prague we had definitly good luck being there at the right moment. The atmosphere of the Old Town Square with the snow, and Tyn church in the background relating with the christmas tree in the square, created a nice memory stored in our experience for ever.

Open Air Bar in Genoa

While walking in the streets of Genoa we spotted this nice looking bar, that unfortunetely was closed. If you want to know where is it, we are sorry but we can't remember, so it's a good reason to visit Genoa and search for it by yourself! :)

If you have been to Sarajevo before, you know what am I talking about! Burek is the typical food here, and can come in different variations and taste: it's like a salty cake that can be filled with meat or vegetables or potatoes. A few pieces of this cheap and tasty dish will make your meal! Plus you can see how they do it in

Teteria Casa L'Art in Novelda

Casa L'Art in Novelda (Spain)Casa L'Art in Novelda (Spain)

Freshly open tea house (Teteria) in Novelda, not far from Alicante, that is hosting events and dinners. We volunteered in Casa L'Art last year while we were travelling in Spain, and it's a nice place in a nice setting. And also the town of Novelda was a surprise for us! So if you are around, you may want to pay a visit

Crows resting in Switzerland, overlooking the Tour d'Ai (Leysin)

Also crows in Switzerland are enjoying the view of the Tour d'Ai (Leysin) and resting not far from the panoramic restaurant. It's possible to go there with an easy but nice hike (suggested), and maybe even to venture and try the "Via Ferrata" of Tour d'Ai, or for the less adventouros it's possible just to
