Reflections in Piazza San Marco, Venice

Reflections in Piazza San Marco, VeniceReflections in Piazza San Marco, Venice

Venice is beautiful and interesting in every weather condition. With sun you can enjoy the warmth from a cafe. When it' s rainy there are plenty of beautiful reflections in the ground. And even even when it's flooded it's a unique experience! And if you combine a wet weather with the sunset and lights starting to turn on, then

Colourful bazaar in Sarajevo

Bazaar in SarajevoBazaar in Sarajevo

In all the Muslim countries, the "Bazaar" is an institution and the center of commerce and social relations. The same is in Sarajevo, the most European of the Islamic capitals, where the local bazaar is filled with the traditional fabrics, souvenirs and colours.

Bicycles in the central square of Lucca, built in a Roman amphitheater

Bycicles in the central square of LuccaBycicles in the central square of Lucca

Lucca is a small city not far from Pisa and Florence, with a nice architectural inheritance from Renaissance and ancient time. The main square is result of the construction over the centuries on top of the original Roman Amphitheater. The three bicycles at the entrance of the square, stand to witness the cycling vocation of this

View of the village of Riomaggiore in Cinque Terre

The village of Riomaggiore in Cinque TerreThe village of Riomaggiore in Cinque Terre

Cinque Terre is probably the area that we covered the most in our website. And Riomaggiore is one of the villages that we liked the most, because of the contrast between the rocks, its colorful houses and the water. In this photo the village is seen from another point of view, than my other "famous" shot of Riomaggiore. And it's

Portico in a villa in Pompei

Portico in a villa in PompeiPortico in a villa in Pompei

Pompei is a world known Roman city found almost intact underground thanks to the ashes of the volcano Vesuvius that completely covered it. Strolling along its streets, is like going back in time. What I enjoyed the most where the interior courtyards of the many villas n there, with nice porticoes, fountains and luxurious

Caceres historical center

Skyline of CaceresSkyline of Caceres

Caceres in an interesting medieval city in the west of Spain, with a beautiful historical center, quite well preserved. It's not big and can be visited in a few hours by feet. You better mimic the spanish habits and take a siesta in the early afternoon, since temparature in summer can be really hot! That's why most of the

Winter Solstice in Romania: icy trees

Trees covered in ice in RomaniaTrees covered in ice in Romania

What a perfect day was today to celebrate winter solstice! Nature made us a nice present, decorating the trees with plenty of ice brought by the wind. Yes, that's not snow, it's ice! And while we were going to the park to take some photos, it even came out the sun. But the funny thing is that even if today was winter solstice

View from Keiservarden, Bodø, Norway

View from Kaisertoppen, Bodø, NorwayView from Kaisertoppen, Bodø, Norway

The amazing view we had from the top of Keiservarden, an easy hike in Bodø, Norway, filled with plenty of incredible scenaries. On top there is a military base, and a wind shelter for hikers, since it's so windy you can barely walk. On the extreme left it's possible to see even Lofoten Islands in clear days. If you are going

Northern Lights colours and flares

Northern-Lights-Colors-Norway-FlareNorthern-Lights-Colors-Norway-Flare

I'm still organizing my photo archive from the "expedition" in north of Norway of last year to see Northern Lights, and I found this interesting shot: there is no Photoshop editing at all, it's just what came out of the camera. On the background there is a dark sky and the magnificent Northern Lights, and in the foreground some

Rhône valley and mountain range seen from La Berneuse, over LeysinRhône valley and mountain range seen from La Berneuse, over Leysin

This is the amazing view we saw after hiking to "La Berneuse" from Leysin in Switzerland. After reaching the turning restaurant Kuklos we just sat in the cliff and had lunch with this amazing view over the Rhône valley. Not bad, hum? On the far right is visible also Geneva lake.
