Eventually after many months of forced stop, we have begun a new trip, and we are right now in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. More than the other times, this time is going to be a challenge, since my health is not perfect and I've been suffering from a mysterious syndrome for the last year, so far categorized as B12 deficiency, and that recently I'm considering it might me Mercury poisoning due to travel vaccines and one dental amalgam. So the "news" is that I have in my backpack some 3 kilos of supplements that are adding up to the weight, plus I have to take them regularly during the day, that it's not an easy task when you are on the road.
Hopefully my level of energy will keep increasing, I've been feeling much better in the last days, I don't know if it's the excitement due to the trip, the tons of supplements I started to take or just the usual alternating of good and bad periods I've had for the last year. And my "collection" is not finished since I shipped in Thessaloniki, Greece (one of our next destinations) some more pills that I bought from South Africa to follow Cutler Protocol and try to take mercury out of my body.
We have started our trip from Bucharest and with 3 rides we Reached Veliko Tarnovo. The rides were quite easy, but we had to walk over 5 km to cross the border, and that was a quite tough beginning for our "lazy" backs. And also at the beginning of the bridge connecting Romania and Bulgaria, we were welcomed by 15 barking stray dogs that were not happy we were invading their territory. We got quite scary, but we managed to pass them without consequences after going back and taking a longer detour.
We have already been hosted by two different couchsurfers, the first day a super energetic guy in Veliko Tarnovo living in a coloured "hippy" apartment always full of friends and guests, and right now sitting in a beautiful veranda hosted by a nice family and enjoying the early sping and the silence not far away from the city. The two extremes of travelling, equally welcome and balancing each other. We have also found out that tomorrow is going to be the yearly celebration of the city, so we are extending our stay to enjoy the light and laser show at night, that hopefully is going to be memorable!
